Online Master’s Degrees in Maine

Maine’s higher education system is composed of several public and private colleges and universities, as well as community, technical, and for-profit online colleges. University of Maine

University College online courses are taught by University of Maine System faculty at off-campus centers. Students who want to complete an online master’s degree will need to apply to the University of Maine System campus that grants the specific degree. University of New England

University of New England is a private, non-profit university with campuses in Biddeford and Portland. UNE’s Online Learning System offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate courses and degree programs. Those who are looking to earn their master’s degree online can choose from eight distance programs in social work, public health, medical education leadership, and several other education specialties. UNE online learners will access their classes and course work through Blackboard, the course management system. The University of New England is home to many prestigious colleges, including the state’s only medical school and osteopathic medical school. UNE is also known for its renowned Marine Science Center, which provides education, research, and marine animal rehabilitation. The U.S. News & World Report ranked UNE No. 104 in the regional universities (North) category, and put its medical school at No. 68 for primary care specialty.

University of Southern Maine

University of Southern Maine Online makes going back to school as an adult learner or working professional a breeze. There are currently three online master’s degrees in adult and higher education, teacher education, and leadership studies. Online learners will access their classes and course materials through Blackboard, the university’s course management system. USM also provides an online advisor for students who need assistance or want to discuss their education options. USM is committed to making degree attainment and college completion a top priority for students, and its top-notch campus-based and online educational programs reflect that goal. The U.S. News & World Report ranked USM No. 118 for the Regional University (North) category, as well as No. 36 for Top Public Schools.
