Online Master’s Degrees in Michigan

Michigan’s higher education system is composed of more than 200 postsecondary institutions, including public and private two- and four-year institutions, independent colleges and universities, tribally controlled community colleges, and online schools. Like so many other states, Michigan has also taken steps to address the issues within its state education system and is committed to increasing college attainment and college graduation rates. One of the state initiatives is to establish a state higher education agency or board of regents to address these concerns and design policies to make the education goals a reality. Despite the state’s higher education access challenges, Michigan does have some of the biggest and most popular colleges in the nation. The three largest institutions in the state are Michigan State University, the University of Michigan, and Wayne State University.

Michigan State University

Michigan State University offers numerous online courses and degree programs to students living in and outside of Michigan. There are about 21 master’s degree programs that can be completed either entirely online or in a hybrid format.
