Online Master’s Degrees in Utah

Utah’s capital, Salt Lake City, is home to a majority of Utah’s colleges and universities, including the University of Utah, Utah State University, Westminster College, Salt Lake Community College, and the Art Institute of Salt Lake City. Options for online education are increasing, thanks to the efforts of the Utah System of Higher Education (USHE), which is leading an initiative to bring the percentage of Utah residents with an associate’s degree or higher up from 39 percent to at least 66 percent by 2020. The Utah Education Network’s website allows students to search for online degree programs offered at higher education institutions across the state.

Utah State University

Located in Logan, Utah State University (USU) is a land-grant and space-grant public research university. USU currently offers seven complete online master’s degrees in subjects including applied environmental geosciences, engineering, instructional technology, natural resources, and rehabilitation counseling. Students utilize the online environment Canvas for their online instruction, quizzes, and discussions with (online) classmates. USU is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities.

Southern Utah University

The public Southern Utah University (SUU) offers four online master’s degrees in accounting, education, communication, and sports conditioning.
